Becky Essay

The story called “Becky and the Wheels-and-Brake Boys was written by James Berry. It tells about a girl named Becky who really wants a bike but her mom character. She shows that she is credible through what she feels, says, and does.

Becky is credible is because she wants to fit in. She feels that she is left out and that nobody wants to hang out with her because she does not have a bike like they do. “I only want to be with Nat, Aldo, Jimmy, and Ben. They all have bike, and she wants one too, so she can ride and play with them. This proves Becky is credible because everybody does not to like to be a loner everyone likes to have friends and help them fit in.

Furthermore, Becky is believable because she kelps begging her mom for the bike. Becky says herself, “Over and over I told my mom I wanted a bike.” I still want have a bike badly.” In order to get what she wants, Becky thinks she has to ask several times and give reasons for how she feels towards the item. She wants a bike badly because mostly everybody has one and she wants one too. This proves that she is credible because mostly all the kids beg until they get what they wanted and then they are happy.

Moreover Becky is credible because she fought with a girl named Shirnette. As an example, Becky thinks, “For the first time me and Shirnette had areal fight, because of what I hated the most.” Shirnatte wanted to get back to Becky because Becky had put a centipede up her shirt, so she got even by putting a cockroach in Becky’s blouse. This proves that Becky is a realistic character because a lot of best friends get in fights, but then they make up.
In conclusion, Becky is the main character in the story “Becky and the Wheels-and- Brake Boys".She is credible for what she says does and feels.
Becky acts like a normal kid or child would act. That makes her a beliveable person.
